02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The Paristamen Charity is a small grant-making charity: see our website for full details of grantmaking programmes. All grants are made to other charities, mostly unrestricted 'Responsive' grants to a wide range of small to medium Scottish charities, although we also award a few 'Planned' grants to some larger charities. In most years we also award a larger Blue Sky grant to fund a specific project.

Constitutional objectives
The objects of the Charity are: 3.1 the advancement of the Christian faith. and 3.2 to further such other purposes which may be charitable according to the law of Scotland which are not inconsistent with 3.1. PROVIDED that nothing in this Constitution shall authorise the application of property or funds of the Charity for any purpose unless that purpose is exclusively charitable both under Scottish charity law and under tax legislation as applicable in Scotland.
