02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
As per section three of the Constitution, OKFP was formed with the specific aim of alleviating food poverty, in an inclusive and non-discriminatory fashion, within Old Kilpatrick and its environs. In so doing the organisation sought, and continues to seek, to advance health in the local area. advance citizenship and to develop the community by addressing issues of social exclusion and loneliness. These Aims and Objectives remain our priority.

3 The organisation’s purposes are: The primary purpose of Old Kilpatrick Food Parcels is the prevention and provision of relief from food poverty in the local area of Old Kilpatrick and its environs. In so doing the organisation seeks to advance health in the local area. advance citizenship and the development of the community and helping in the relief of those in need by reason of their age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage.
