Constitutional objectives

Purposes 4 The organisation's purposes are: The purpose of the Club shall be to advance the public participation in sport and particular the sport of boxing. 4.1 The advancement of health 4.1.1 To advance the health, fitness and wellbeing of people living in Govan and Greater Govan by providing open and transparent opportunities to attend and participate in the sport of boxing in schools, community halls, charity events and local festivals helping people to maintain or improve their health by combining physical skills with physical exertion. 4.2 The advancement of public participation in sport 4.2.1 To provide openness and transparency throughout our decision making by challenging the status quo and embracing new ideas and ways of working by setting and upholding high standards of behaviours in line with Boxing Scotland guidelines, policies and procedures. Creating a great coaching, community and training environment and hub. - Promote adaptability, creativity, innovation and leadership by making sure we develop and support our coaches and volunteers to advance their own personal citizenship and the clubs community development. - Relieve the public at large by demonstrating accountability of our club leadership, performance and development by encouraging cross-community organisation, collaboration to support our learning and exchange of equality and diversity best practice always considering all options. - Providing a culture of progressive thinking by equipping our coaches, members and volunteers with the resources and a credible and safe environment to succeed.
