02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The charity is set up to help with the saving of lives in the Highland area in the first instance and those who travel to the Highlands. We achieve this by providing professional, trained volunteers capable of providing support to communities and the agencies serving them and on special events such as marathons, live music. We also help to provide support to vulnerable communities during localised or national, adverse, or major incidents, through the local / national organisations who ask for assistance. Along with providing multi-agencies support for vulnerable persons who go out drinking within city centre and ensure that if medical attention is needed we are able to help and provide or just the reassurance of getting into a taxi to get homewards.
