02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We are set up to provide a growing and social space for our members who live in the centre the city and who do not have their own dedicated growing spaces. We also provide an enhanced environment for the general public and visitors to the city by maintaining adjacent open spaces which we plant with wild and spring flowers and keep litter free.

Constitutional objectives
We are a community-led charity working to achieve lasting benefits for the Merchant City, Trongate, Ladywell and Drygate areas of Glasgow. Specifically. 4.1.The advancement of citizenship or community development by organising communal activities, with the object of improving the wellbeing of the persons for whom the facilities or activities, (principally through food growing and cultural activities), are primarily intended 4.2. the advancement of environmental protection or improvement, through the creation of a biophilic community garden
