02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Aberdeen Muslims is dedicated to supporting people in need within Aberdeen City through our monthly FoodBox project. Each month, we distribute over 100 food boxes to individuals and families facing hardship. Alongside food distribution, we provide information and resources for those seeking additional support. Until recently, our charity operated without a bank account, and we relied on the generosity of food business owners across Aberdeen, as well as using our own funds whenever possible. Over the past year, we have actively engaged with restaurant and takeaway owners to secure food donations and build sustainable partnerships. We are pleased to have established several key partnerships that will continue to support our FoodBox project. Looking ahead, we aim to expand this initiative by forming new partnerships, securing sponsorships, and increasing outreach efforts to meet the growing demand.
