Constitutional objectives

Clause 4 The Organisation has been formed for the public benefit of the Community of Culross village as defined by the boundaries of Culross Community Council (“the Community”), with the Purposes listed in Clause 5 below (“the Purposes”), to be exercised following the principles of sustainable development (where sustainable development means development which meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs). Clause 5 The Organisation’s main purpose is consistent with furthering the achievement of sustainable development. The Organisation’s Purposes are: Clause 5.1 To advance citizenship and community development by encouraging cooperation and mutual support to produce food for local consumption in a changing economic and physical environment. Clause 5.2 To promote environmental protection and improvement through the encouragement of a growing project for the benefit of all. Clause 5.3 To promote the advancement of education within the community in food growing, care, harvest and distribution and ensure a better understanding of the connections between what we eat and how it is produced, delivered and prepared. Clause 5.4 In furtherance of these purposes, the organisation seeks to do all lawful things which are deemed to further the purposes of the group.
