02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

we were set up to manage and maintain our community hall for all to use and enjoy. We also organise a variety of events to connect our community and bring them together, as well as offering the facilities to the community to promote social, cultural, recreational and educational activities. We have recently put measures in place to become a resilience hub for the community, offering facilities for people to use in times of emergencies, power outages etc, and those facilities will continue to broaden throughout the coming year

Constitutional objectives

4 The organisation's purposes are: 4.1 To promote the quality of life of the inhabitants of the Tullynessle and Forbes area by advancing social, cultural, recreational and educational activities. while such activities shall be primarily for the benefit of residents, they shall be open to people living outside the area 4.2 To act to ensure that the Tullynessle and Forbes Community Hall is a fit and proper facility for the advancement of the above purpose and improve the hall and its contents and the ground associated with the hall for the benefit of users. 4.3 To engage in a way that accommodates everyone irrespective of their race, gender, age, religion, sexual orientation or disability so that they may participate as a full citizen in their community. 4.4 The Organisation shall not support or promote the activities of any political parties.
