02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

We aim to provide recreational activities for children and families to improve community cohesion and to provide a little peer support around common family issues. We do this by organising visits to places of interest for our families and we try to subsidise the cost as much as possible to save those unable to afford from missing out.

Constitutional objectives

Purposes 4 The organisation's purposes are: 4.1 To advance the educational and social opportunities of children and young people, between birth and 18 years old, of any gender, race, faith or denomination and whether able-bodied or otherwise, primarily in the area of association, but not exclusively, through children and young people's leisure-time activities in order to develop their physical, social, mental and emotional capacities and skills to enable them to achieve their full potential through: 4.1.1 the advancement of education, 4.1.2 the advancement of citizenship and community development, through the promotion of civic responsibility and volunteering, 4.1.3 the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the children and young people within the area of association, 4.1.4 the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage.
