02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Citizens Rights Project supports migrants in Scotland affected by Brexit to access their rights and overcome barriers caused by immigration status, poverty, digital exclusion and inequality. We provide free, independent and multilingual information, advice and practical assistance on immigration, welfare rights, housing, employment and access to public services. We also support migrants of all nationalities and immigration routes with eVisas and digital immigration status. We deliver one-to-one advice, workshops, information sessions, outreach and training across Scotland, working with public bodies, charities and community organisations. We also identify systemic barriers affecting migrant communities and contribute to policy development and advocacy to promote equality, inclusion and human rights.
