Constitutional objectives

The company has been formed to benefit principally the community of Balmacara which comprises the Lochalsh Community Council area ('the Community') with the following objects: a) The advancement of citizenship or community development to promote for the public benefit rural regeneration, following principles of sustainable development, where 'sustainable development' means development which meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs, in areas of social and economic deprivation within the Community. b) The advancement of local heritage and arts through the creation of training, education, and employment opportunities. the preservation of buildings or sites of architectural, historic, or other importance to the Community. c) The advancement of public participation in sport by offering sporting activity for the public at large and/or those who, by reasons of their age, ill health, disability, poverty, or social and economic circumstances, have need of such activity. d) The provision of local recreational facilities by offering services and rental of spaces on favourable terms to the community for events that improve the social and economic wellbeing of the Community. e) To advance environmental protection or improvement including preservation, sustainable development and conservation of the natural environment, the maintenance, improvement, or provision of environmental amenities for the Community
