02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Rotary Club of Aberdeen Deeside Trust (also known as Aberdeen Deeside Rotary Trust or ADR Trust) was setup as a registered charity to support and enhance the charitable activities of the Rotary Club of Aberdeen Deeside (also known as Aberdeen Deeside Rotary or ADR). This will be achieved through the seeking of funding from various sources including personal donations, corporate donations and grant funding in line with our constitution and the policies set out by Rotary International.

  • the advancement of the arts, heritage, culture or science
  • the advancement of public participation in sport

Purposes 4 The Organisation's purposes are to raise and disburse funds for the following purposes: ?The prevention or relief of poverty'. ?Assisting those that are socially isolated or those that are imminent risk of being socially isolated?. 'The advancement of education'. 'The advancement of physical health'. ?The relief and assistance of those with and those assisting with mental health problems?. 'The advancement of citizenship or community development?. ? The advancement of the arts, heritage, culture or science'. 'The advancement of public participation in sport'. 'The provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended'. 'The advancement of human rights, conflict resolution or reconciliation'. 'The advancement of environmental protection or improvement'.
