02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
iLead International exists to equip and support people facing disadvantage in the UK and internationally especially in developing countries—through leadership development, education, training and practical relief. We advance the Christian faith by serving communities in Jesus’ name and helping individuals grow in character, purpose and leadership. We deliver mentoring, leadership training and skills-based learning through workshops, courses, one-to-one support and community programmes. We relieve hardship by providing practical help to people affected by poverty, disability, ill health, age-related needs, financial hardship and other challenging circumstances. This includes food and essential support, signposting to specialist services, pastoral care, and partnering with local churches and trusted organisations to reach people effectively. We also promote health and well-being by reducing isolation and supporting initiatives that strengthen mental, emotional, and social wellbeing.
