02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

We are set up to offer assistance and support to vulnerable individuals struggling wit life and who may have suicidal thoughts. We work with a partner who provides outdoor retreats and therapy sessions and we fund this. we are also now providing a similar service in local high schools ad we aim to branch out to he local primary schools with an aim of raising awareness of mental health and preventing suicide.

Constitutional objectives

4 The organisation's purpose is the saving of lives and in furtherance of this purpose the organisation will: (a) Raise awareness and foster communication, primarily but not exclusively amongst young people about mental health issues with a specific focus on suicide. (b) Construct and maintain a wishing well within East Kilbride to symbolise growing rates of suicide in young people and provide information on site to assist people should they require help. (c) Provide a safe space for open conversations to take place around mental health through provision of support and assistance by arranging talks by motivational speakers for those suffering from mental health issues or may have suicidal ideation.
