02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Our charity is set up to maintain the Laxdale Community Hall for the benefit of the community and support the delivery of activities to benefit all ages and the most vulnerable in our community, including a Baby and Toddler group, Social Seniors and Youth Club and social cafe. The committee raise funds to offer community events and maintain the hall for private hire for parties, weddings and ceilidhs for the community.

Constitutional objectives

4 The organisation's purposes are: 4.1 To manage the Laxdale Community Hall for the benefit of all the residents of the Laxdale postal district, including use for meetings, events, lectures, classes, education, training, recreation and leisure time activity, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the community. 4.2 To organise and promote any other community-based activity which the Members shall consider to improve the conditions of life for the community and/or promote community participation.
