02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Digital Din aims to provide free hands-on workshops, mentorship and network opportunities for women (trans and non binary inclusive) in Sound Production, in particular for those who experience barriers from poverty and other hardship. We do this by researching opportunity for learning, sharing resources and supporting our members to help each other with their projects. We network with other women's sound projects to gain information on funding, mentorship and to design a sound production course. Digital Din has not been able to create any in person workshops as of yet due to a lack of funding, however we have applied for funding for a series of workshops in 2026 and 2027 and have worked towards the goal by researching, supporting members to make their own projects, and creating partnership with a community venue from which to run our workshops. We aim to resource women towards futures in science and creative industries by creating safer and affordable learning environments.
