02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Our purposes are the advancement of the arts. We do this by selecting and performing at least one theatrical production or concert each year. Several months of study and rehearsal are undertaken by our performers and other members working behind the scenes to produce high quality performances in keeping with our continually improving standards. This increases our members' individual skills and confidence and gives them a great sense of achievement, while also providing quality entertainment to local audience members at more affordable cost than professional productions. We also raise funds for a nominated charity each year which is chosen by the members.

4. The purposes of PMOS are the advancement of the arts by: (i) The Study and Production of Musical and/or Dramatic Works. (ii) Providing opportunities through rehearsals and/or workshops to assist Members to develop their skills in the musical and dramatic arts. (iii) Developing public appreciation, education and enjoyment of musical and dramatic arts. (iv) Raising funds which can be applied in furtherance of any charitable purpose
