What the charity exists to do
The charity is set up to helps the youth of Islay to go away to college or stay on the island and undertake training or buy small equipment to start a business to fill the gaps in skills the island needs.

Constitutional objectives
The objects of the Charity are: 3.1 to advance education. and 3.2 to prevent or relieve poverty in such ways as the trustees from time to time consider appropriate - in all cases for the benefit of persons aged 16 or over who are normally resident on the Island of Islay PROVIDED that nothing in this Constitution shall authorise the application of property or funds of the Charity for any purpose unless that purpose is exclusively charitable both under Scottish charity law and under tax legislation as applicable in Scotland.
