02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

The charity was set up to replace the Finlaggan Trust once we have settled outstanding issues with the governance of the older body, ie, its unwieldy constitution. Delays occurred due to locating former trustees. Problems now completed and we hope to finish the process in 2025.

Constitutional objectives

The organisation's purposes are to preserve, maintain and study the ruins at the Ancient Seat of the Lords of the Isles at Loch Finlaggan in the Island of Islay.
