02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

The purposes of the group Loch Gorm Calling SCIO are the advancement of citizenship and community development and the saving of lives. In furtherance of these purposes Loch Gorm Calling SCIO will benefit those living full-time within five miles of Loch Gorm, Islay (the community) by: 3.1.1 The advancement of heritage conservation, and to promote the preservation of buildings and other features of architectural and/or historical interest surrounding Loch Gorm. 3.1.2 The advancement of community development, equality and diversity, and the provision of a forum for those living in the vicinity of Loch Gorm, Islay. 3.1.3 The promotion of improvements in the amenities, facilities and services in the area surrounding Loch Gorm, in particular the provision and maintenance of a defibrillator. 3.1.4 The advancement of education for those living in the community in matters relating to the saving of lives, in particular instruction in the use of a defibrillator.

Constitutional objectives
