What the charity exists to do

Pollokshields Heritage aims to promote the character and quality of the original Victorian suburbs of West and East Pollokshields, which now form part of the larger Glasgow conurbation. The West suburb is noted for its villas situated in gardens while the East suburb is noted for its tenement buildings. Both West Pollokshields and East Pollokshields have conservation status, and the charity actively supports maintenance and development that enhances both areas. It does this by engaging with the local population, by means of events and publications, and by regular engagement with statutory and other organisations and charities.
