02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

1. To provide the opportunity for children (0-school age), parents and carers to learn the Gaelic language, through talking, songs and games in a relaxed and welcoming environment. 2. To offer a chance for parent and carers who are interested in Gaelic Medium Education to meet others with the same wishes and explore future education paths. 3. To provide parents and carers with the chance to experience and partake in Gaelic speaking in a child friendly environment. • The group will offer opportunities for Gaelic learning via friendship, songs and play in a safe and secure space for children and their families. • To encourage and promote Gaelic speaking at home. • To address isolation and loneliness, experienced by Parents in North Ayrshire. • To share information and experiences with other parent and toddler groups and Gaelic learning/early years organisations.
