Constitutional objectives

4. The association’s objectives are: (a) to promote equality and diversity by redefining and balancing the UK outdoor narrative by amplifying, celebrating and increasing the visibility of diversity in the outdoors, sharing education content around diversity in the outdoors, ensure skill development and sharing, as well as ensure greater access to training for future leaders from underserved groups. (b) to advance community development by promoting, and supporting community groups that encourage outdoor participation and leadership, as well as enable supportive spaces for underserved groups. (c) to advance education through the delivery of training, education and (primarily film) events that seek to tackle the barriers people face in accessing outdoor spaces, and to challenge stereotypes of people who frequent outdoor spaces and are celebrated in that regard.
