02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

We are set up to help people living in poverty in Scotland and we do this in different ways. We organize and host weekly community sessions in some of Scotland’s most deprived areas. These sessions are completely free, and include a meal or snack to support people in food poverty. From parent and toddler/baby groups, to adult art & digital sessions and youth groups, we cover every demographic. With the aim of helping people out of poverty, we work with partners and experts to guide people and help them discover their skills and competencies so they can find employment. This also includes mentoring young people still in education. Everyone deserves some joy. We plan and deliver amazing, fun and memorable moments for people in poverty. From day trips to parties, we bring joy to local communities. We help address the poverty crisis by tackling some of the root causes of poverty. This includes providing meals to the homeless, clothing and essential supplies.
