02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Staxigoe & Papigoe Community Group (SCIO) exists to improve the quality of life for people living in and visiting Staxigoe, Papigoe, Noss Head and Broadhaven. We do this by managing and developing community facilities, organising educational, recreational, cultural and social activities, and supporting projects that strengthen community wellbeing and protect our local environment. The charity works with volunteers, local organisations and partners toprovide an inclusive community hub where people of all ages can meet, learn, take part in events and activities, and help build a stronger, more connected community. This supports our charitable purposes of advancing education, community development, arts and culture, recreation and environmental improvement.
