02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

We exist to strengthen the capabilities of the research and governance communities in Scotland to engage with each other, to meaningfully collaborate, and to make decisions that centre equity. We do this by working with key stakeholders across the Scottish and UK research-policy landscape to: 1) develop and deliver learning events, resources and provide other forms of support, 2) co-create and disseminate opportunities to engage, 3) develop, maintain and support networks and relationships, and 4) innovate knowledge mobilisation practice.

(c)The advancement of citizenship by encouraging researchers to engage more fully with policymaking processes. (d)The encouragement of equality and diversity by supporting new voices from research to engage with policy.
