02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Coach My Sport is established to improve the lives of children and families experiencing financial hardship through access to sport, physical activity, and essential sports clothing and equipment. We promote environmental sustainability through the repair, reuse, recycling, and redistribution of donated sportswear and equipment, reducing waste and encouraging sustainable participation in sport. Our core delivery focuses on providing free or low-cost multi-sport sessions for children aged 3–7, prioritising communities identified through the SIMD Deprivation Map of Stirling. Sessions are designed to develop fundamental movement skills, physical literacy, confidence, and lifelong participation in physical activity rather than early sports specialisation. Our evidence-based programme is developed in partnership with the Motor Skill Learning Academy (Switzerland), with each child receiving a Coach My Sport Passport to track progression and development.
