02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Our charity was set up to offer practical support to families with childhood cancer. Our short term goal was to provide grants to every family when their child is diagnosed. To do this we hold two events every year to raise funds to achieve our goal. We also have supporters who arrange individual fundraisers or make requests to organisations to support our mission. Thanks to our fundraising efforts in year one we are now providing grants to families who are referred to us. However we are working hard to increase our fundraising efforts to ensure that we have funds to provide a grant to every family. Our long term goal is to set up a helpline to offer emotional support to families however we are not currently in a position to set this up but this will remain our focus.
