02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

HEM SCIO is set up to relieve Fuel Poverty for households on Hoy, working alongside the GP, Well-being Coordinator and other fuel poverty charities we work to identify need and implement solutions for those in most need of support. We also facilitate the ongoing delivery of the Legacy Project, a solar and battery storage system designed by our chairman which is being installed into households across the island, aiming to address fuel poverty across the community.
