Constitutional objectives

The organisation is established for charitable purposes only, and in particular, the objectives are: To relieve poverty of migrants and their families in Scotland by providing general advice, information and guidance on housing, education, welfare, family issues etc and helping them to develop knowledge and confidence in dealing with these matters themselves. We will also signpost them to relevant partners and service providers to help with the specific issues. To promote racial harmony, equality and diversity in society by supporting social, economic and identity integration of communities and cultures by tackling issues of exclusion, isolation and prejudice and creating opportunities for cultural exchange, learning and bridge building between migrants and the wider community, who share the same geographical and social space. To advance active citizenship and community development by raising awareness about migrants? experiences, advocating acceptance through understanding differences and helping migrants to develop and maintain a social network of friends and contacts, which will help them during their life in Scotland.
