Constitutional objectives
The purposes of the Association (in this constitution referred to as 'the Purposes') shall be wholly charitable within the meaning of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 which are also regarded as charitable purposes In particular, the purposes will be: 2.1 The advancement of citizenship or community development by utilising knowledge, skills, resources of the members enabling them to participate fully in the social, economic, and civic life of the community 2.2 The prevention or relief of poverty by providing financial hardship, sickness and distress in Scotland, Nepal or anywhere in the world as the trustees see fit, by the provision, of goods, items, aid, and relief 2.3 The advancement of education by creating education programmes about about healthy lifestyles, physical and mental wellbeing and importance of peace and harmony in day-to-day life, for the public benefit 2.4 The promotion of religious or racial harmony by, establishing strong networking among students, professionals, and families, promoting racial harmony, foster cultural and religious tolerance and understanding between the members and wider community working towards the elimination of prejudice and discrimination.
