02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

To encourage the promotion and practice of the sport of Amateur Boxing at the grass-roots level. To contribute to the improvement of physical health, fitness, social and boxing skills and development of Scottish Boxing, the furtherance of which will be achieved through affiliation to Amateur Boxing Scotland. To promote healthy living and educate the players on a healthy lifestyle that will result in improvement to their health and general wellbeing. To provide a safe environment where young people can learn and participate in boxing and other activities relating to the sport. By offering boxing classes, keep fit courses whether inside the gym or directly within local schools, educating children and adults on the benefits of a healthy lifestyle. be it healthy eating and/or keeping fit. Promoting the benefits to your mental health, self belief, motivation etc.

Constitutional objectives

The organisation's purposes are: 4.1 to encourage the advancement of the public participation in the sport of Amateur Boxing at the grass-roots level. 4.2 to contribute to the improvement of physical health, fitness, social and boxing skills and development of Scottish Boxing, the furtherance of which will be achieved through affiliation to Amateur Boxing Scotland. 4.3 to promote healthy living and educate the players on a healthy lifestyle that will result in improvement to their health and general well-being. 4.4 To provide a safe environment where young people can learn and participate in boxing and other activities relating to the sport.
