02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

To encourage the study, practice and knowledge of performing and community arts and provide recreational facilities in their support. We do this by an holding an annual festival, organised by an appointed committee, incorporating an art exhibition and various events from craft related workshops for adults and children, various musical performances of a variety of genres, through to an al fresco Shakespeare performance. we also maintain a Putting Green, open for much of the summer, including daily through June and July.

The organisation's purposes are:- 4.1. The advancement of education by encouraging the study, practice and knowledge of the performing and community arts in Scotland and in particular to promote the arts in the Royal Burgh of Crail, Fife. 4.2. The advancement of the arts by promoting the arts in the Royal Burgh of Crail, Fife. 4.3. The advancement of education and of the arts through practice and knowledge of the performing and community arts in Scotland and in particular promoting the arts and children?s activities in the Royal Borough of Crail, Fife. and 4.4. The provision or organisation of recreational facilities or activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended.
