02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The overall aim of Power Circle Ltd is to support the energy transition in a just and equitable way by facilitating initiatives that ensure that all sections of the community including those on the lowest income and most in need of affordable energy are able to benefit from the need to access affordable green energy. Our planned activities include: (i) Projects by trading subsidiaries in disadvantaged communities (ii) Other projects by trading subsidiaries (iii) Use of profit gifted by trading subsidiaries

Constitutional objectives
2(1) The following objects are exclusively charitable in accordance with the provisions of section 7 of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and which are also regarded as being charitable purposes in relation to the application of the Taxes Acts: namely the advancement of environmental protection and improvement through the promotion of sustainable development and the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, hardship or other disadvantage for the benefit of the public in the UK and internationally by: 2 (1)(a) The preservation, conservation and protection of the environment and the prudent use of natural resources, including through the provision of energy efficiency and low carbon energy services. 2(1) (b) The relief of poverty and the improvement of the conditions of life in socially and economically disadvantaged communities. 2 (1) (c) The promotion of sustainable means of achieving economic growth and regeneration
