02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Our charity is set up to provide inclusive theatre experiences for young people and adults. Offering low cost classes, ensuring financial circumstances is not a barrier to them experiencing many aspects of theatre (performing, technical and creating). Yearly we perform pantomimes at low cost for the community, ensuring accessibility, both financially and physically. We run 3 youth classes (ages 5-17), and an adult (18+) class, building on confidence, socialisation, performance/creativity skills through the medium of drama/theatre. We operate an inclusive, fair and equal remit in our classes, ensuring everyone gets the same opportunities. Committed to delivering collaborative and engaging classes, our facilitators, under the direction of our artistic director, are all experienced in working with young people/adults in various social/educational settings. We offer skilled workshops, filming opportunities in collaboration with agency professionals and other community project groups

Constitutional objectives
The objectives of the group are the provision and organisation of recreational facilities and activities to improve access to amateur theatre and participation in associated activities through delivery of a community theatre so that wellbeing and quality of life are improved. the advancement of the arts, heritage and culture within the local community particularly, but not exclusively, through theatre. to promote the art of drama, music and dance through performance of plays, pantomimes and musical shows and to improve the skills and knowledge of its members. to promote community cohesion through public performance and by being an inclusive organisation that supports individuals of all ages, abilities and backgrounds. the advancement of education through the medium of accessible theatre with the result that conditions and quality of life are improved.
