What the charity exists to do
The advancement of public participation in basketball as a sport by: • Providing new opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to participate in basketball and related activities. • Supporting the improvement of facilities for basketball in Scotland. • Promoting and encouraging individuals toward accreditation for coaching, officiating, and volunteering roles in basketball. • Providing support to individuals in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship, or other disadvantage. • Advancing learning and development opportunities for leadership within basketball, including athletes, coaches, clubs, volunteers, and officials. • Supporting projects and initiatives aligned with national basketball development strategies. • The advancement of public participation in a range of sports through the utilisation of the Arena and Fanzone.
