What the charity exists to do

Since 1977, EKTTC has been a very successful local community sports club attracting players from East Kilbride and the surrounding area. The club currently has over 60 members and has a regular training night on a Friday between 6pm and 9pm. The club also regularly enters several teams into the West of Scotland League competitions. The club and its coaches are registered with Table Tennis Scotland, the sport’s governing body. The club also organises two tournaments every year – the East Kilbride Shield, for EKTTC club members and the East Kilbride Open which is open to all. From a community perspective, the club operates a Pop In & Play facility in East Kilbride supported by Table Tennis Scotland which has attracted over 14,000 visitors since it opened in April 2023.. This is a free to access facility supported by volunteers. The team at the facility also engages with a number of other 3rd sector organisations to provide tailored packages of support.
