Constitutional objectives

Purposes 4 The Organisation is a non-profit distributing charity whose principal objectives are: a) The advancement of local heritage and culture, predominantly but not exclusively linked to the Doocot situated within the community b) The advancement of citizenship and community development through the protection, preservation, restoration, development and safeguarding of community assets for current and future generations so enabling them to improve their living environment and conditions of life c) The organisation of a range of recreational activities within the operating area, with such activities being made available to members of the public at large with the object of improving their conditions of life and providing opportunity to participate in community activities d) the advancement of education by providing training and enhancing skills related to traditional crafts and skills, building confidence and so increasing life opportunities and employability for local people.
