The charity sells recycled goods and donates surplus proceeds in the form of a grant to local charities , voluntary organisations and individuals in need of assistance for a specific cause.

Constitutional objectives

4 The Organisation has been formed to benefit principally the community of Sandsting & Aithsting which comprises the Sandsting & Aithsting Community Council area (the “Community”), with the following purposes (the “Purposes”): 4.1 The advancement of education. Through the provision of activities to provide educational and awareness raising opportunities for volunteers and supporters within the Sandsting & Aithsting community council area. 4.2 The advancement of environmental protection or improvement. By the organisation taking waste from the Sandsting & Aithsting community council area that was destined for landfill and giving it a further purpose. Reducing the environmental impact of the items donated. 4.3 The relief of those in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage. Through directly supporting groups within the Sandsting & Aithsting community council area with the purpose of alleviating people’s circumstances when they find themselves in hardship or at a disadvantage. 4.4 The prevention or relief of poverty. Through providing access, to the residents of Sandsting & Aithsting community council area, to essential items at a low cost or free of charge should circumstances dictate.
