02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

The company’s objectives are to use hospitality and education to relieve the needs of, and educate, those with a lack of digital knowledge and access to digital equipment and connectivity within their community and those from vulnerable and isolated groups. To create a community space to reduce the digital divide and social isolation of those vulnerable groups. To relieve financial hardship, sickness and poor health amongst elderly people by increasing their digital skills and participation in their local communities. The company will also advance environmental protection and improvement.

Constitutional objectives

4.1 Advance the education of the public in the subject of digital connection by assisting in such ways as the charity trustees think fit any charity in Glasgow whose aims include advancing education of persons part of the vulnerable local community by developing their mental, physical and moral capabilities through leisure time activities through socialisation and digital access. To advance public education in all matters relating to digital exclusion and internet safety. 4.2 Provide digital and in-person courses on financial management, budgeting, well-being and personal development to reduce the risk of poverty and increase knowledge of available resources in the community 4.3 Improve the health of those involved by using the benefits of hospitality and digital skills to educate on mental and physical health
