02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The Newark Trust is a grant-making charity set up to fight hardship and disadvantage in Inverclyde. The charity supports charities, groups and organisations in Inverclyde by providing grants focussing on three key priority areas: (1) Fighting Child Poverty (2) Supporting Children and Young People with Additional Support Needs (3) The Community Places Fund (grants to make physical changes to your community place). The charity's mission is to improve the lives, health and welfare of people in Inverclyde, creating opportunities for a positive future.
