02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Montrose Baptist Fellowship is a small church which provides Sunday worship services, which seek to spread the Gospel in Montrose and surrounding areas. There are weekly meetings for men and women, prayer and Bible study groups, and Sunday school classes for young people. There is a monthly Community Cafe well attended by locals including a Dementia focus group and local care home residents. We have close links with nearby supported accommodation for vulnerable adults and contact with the nearby Primary School. Support is given to the local Foodbank regularly and also to other charities linked to Christian causes within Montrose and nearby areas, in Scotland and areas further afield. The building is regularly used as a Polling Station for local and general elections.

Constitutional objectives
The Purposes are the advancement of religion, specifically the Christian faith, primarily in Angus and also throughout Scotland and the rest of the world, by all means consistent with the Christian Bible. In doing so the Church subscribes to the Declaration of Principle of the Union as set out in the Appendix. In pursuing these purposes the Church will engage in a variety of activities including, without prejudice to the foregoing generality, worship, ministry, mission, witness, prayer, fellowship, networking, education, community service and the provision of activities and facilities for the community, and the relief of poverty and other social needs, including the support of individuals and other charitable organisations and agencies involved in any or all of these.
