What the charity exists to do

To improve the lives of stray cats in Paphos, Cyprus. We do this through the provision of food, water, medical care and humanely controlling population growth through trap, neuter, return. This provides public benefit for locals and the many tourists from the UK who visit Cyprus through the population being happier & healthier.

Constitutional objectives

The objects of Paphos Purrs are: Purposes The organisation's purposes are: The advancement of animal welfare and in furtherance of this purpose Paphos Purrs SCIO will: (a) Provide food, water, shelter, professional care and spaying/neutering services to stray cats in Paphos, Cyprus. (b) Create programmes to promote animal health and welfare, including education, training and humane rehabilitation of animals. (c) Partner and collaborate with other animal welfare organisations and involve the community in promoting and advancing animal welfare in Cyprus and other locations as resources enable. (d) Create and implement programmes for enhancing the human-animal bond in local communities. (e) Conduct research and public awareness campaigns to advance animal welfare and explore the impact of animal welfare on wider society. (f) Utilise funds to promote animal welfare, including developing and distributing best practice guidance and information. (g) Award grant funding to other organisations to advance animal welfare in accordance with the charity's research and goals. (h) Provide appropriate veterinary care and medication to animals in need of medical attention.? Note: While Paphos Purrs will primarily focus on the Paphos region, where funding allows the charity will support other regions and other species of animal.
