02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Ma’at supports projects that use technology to affect environmental change and empower local people with a strong element of community engagement, as well as land and wildlife conservation projects. In this first full year of the Fund’s activities, we pursued these objectives by grant-making and also made our first social-impact investment in a community energy business. The Fund has additionally provided pro bono strategic, impact reporting and fundraising advice to certain beneficiaries and prospective beneficiaries.
