02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We hold meeting on weekly basis and organise different events and celebrate happy moments with all participants. We also offer access to sewing classes where the participants can do alteration and learn new sewing skills. We also organise a foodbank service once a month where we distribute food free of charge to all the participants who are most in need.

Constitutional objectives
4 The objectives of New Hope Community are to support the individual and collective empowerment of the people who attend, and its charitable purposes are: a) The prevention and relief from poverty by the provision of a food bank and clothing donations in which in return those supported will donate and volunteer in the community when they are able to do so. b) The relief of those in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage by challenging loneliness and isolation through the procession of weekly meetings also supporting asylum seekers and refugees from around the world and allow friendships and supportive relationships to grow. c) The advancement of education by encouraging participation in English speaking for other languages (ESOL) classes to learn English, as well as promoting national and international multi-cultural learning opportunities which will help settling in the area and becoming part of the wider community. We will also promote other courses which will help with employability skills and general wellbeing and safety. By working in partnership with other agencies and groups in the area we will help support people into work and further education.
