02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Provide sporting activities for people aged 4 years old, up to and including adults, who have a range of physical, learning and communication difficulties, to increase their confidence and promote good mental health and physical well being. Provide support to financially disadvantaged families through access to sporting programmes, pathways and equipment. Support aspiring community coaches through relevant coursework and mentoring, to strengthen their capabilities, leading to further accreditation and employment opportunities. Engage with sports clubs/community clubs to run ASN events encouraging a more inclusive community environment.
