02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Provide emotional, practical and financial advice and support to FIP cat owners in terms of diagnosis and vet treatment. We do this virtually. We raise awareness of FIP and educate the general public, vets and professionals via our website, social media and at in person events.

Constitutional objectives

(i) THE ADVANCEMENT OF ANIMAL WELFARE (ii) THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION Through our a) Vision: Every UK cat has access to legal medication where the content and active ingredient concentration are known and guaranteed in order to fight and be cured from FIP. b) Values: Every UK cat is treated equally. Every UK cat is entitled to legal treatment for FIP and should not be discriminated against because of lack of finances or for being a stray. c) Mission: To be a freely accessible worldwide resource for relevant, up-to-date information about FIP and legal FIP treatment via our website and social media pages. To educate owners, breeders and Veterinary professionals worldwide about FCoV, FIP, legal FIP treatment and the importance of robust immune systems in cats via our website and social media pages. To support UK owners and their cats in seeking a prompt, correct diagnosis and timely access to legal FIP treatment via online services/telephone. To financially support UK owners who have no insurance, throughfundraising, to help pay for legal FIP medication and monitoring.
