02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Our charity exists to promote community participation, healthy recreation, and cultural engagement for people living in Cambuslang area, Greater Glasgow and the surrounding areas. We achieve this by providing opportunities for individuals of all ages and backgrounds to take part in Gaelic games and related sporting activities in a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment. Through regular training sessions, competitive matches, coaching programmes, youth development activities, and community events, we encourage physical activity, improve health and wellbeing, and foster social connections. We also promote awareness and appreciation of Gaelic culture and heritage through sporting, cultural, and educational activities. By providing access to facilities, equipment, coaching, and volunteering opportunities, we help people develop skills, build confidence, strengthen community ties, and enjoy the benefits of active participation in sport and cultural life.
