02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We maintain a website where we publish our peer-reviewed academic journal with academic articles submitted by young academics who are taking their first steps in becoming published academic authors in a very competitive and difficult academic publishing environment. These articles are of general interest to students, academics and the public at large and contribute to the advancement of research and knowledge in their fields. These articles are openly accessible to all individuals who access the website - we have no membership fees or paywalls.

Constitutional objectives
The organisation's purposes are: The advancement of education in Scotland and throughout the world by: 4.1 sponsoring, promoting, mentoring, reviewing and undertaking academic research by both emerging undergraduate and graduate academics and by established academic professionals. and 4.2 publishing it online on its dedicated site: www.3sjournal.com, as well as in its peer-reviewed, academic journal bearing the same name in various digital and print formats.
