02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

The church's primary charitable purpose is the advancement of religion, specifically the Christian faith. This faith inspires and informs and provides the motive for all of the church's services and activities. The church loves and serves God by showing the same love and service to those around the church. Faith convictions provide an essential foundation and guide to life, but true religion as properly understood, will always issue forth in a love for others and a desire to serve the local community and foster and promote the well-being of the individuals and groups within this. We provide facilities for public worship and prayer, the opportunity for personal reflection and spiritual development. We raise awareness and understanding of the Christian faith and how its beliefs and practices can provide help, encouragement and guidance in every aspect of life and work. By doing this, the church achieves its charitable purpose of advancing religion, specifically the Christian faith.
